How this board works

No backend

There is no server. Every report you file lives in your browser under the kitty_reports localStorage key. Export the file to move it between devices, or paste the BBCode export straight into a Steam community guide. The site reads back aggregated community consensus on each cat card below; the more reports players paste back, the sharper that consensus gets.

  • Pick a cat card below and fill in the day, scene, position description, screenshot URL, and any notes.
  • Save the report. It appears in the โ€œYour filed reportsโ€ list and stays until you clear it.
  • Export to JSON for backup, Markdown for wiki/Discord, or BBCode for Steam guides.
  • Reports are timestamped and labelled with the cat they belong to.

4 cats verified by enum

Each card below is one of the four hidden cats. The seed summary reflects the current community consensus; the form underneath is where you add your own experience. Locations for every cat are explicitly community-sourced and should be treated as starting points rather than authoritative fact.

#11

Kitty 1

Location community

Internal: KITTY_1

Community consensus

The first hidden cat. Players most often report stumbling onto this one while exploring areas away from the critical path on Day 1 or Day 2. The game offers no marker, no prompt, and no quest entry pointing at it - the registration fires only when the cat itself is interacted with.

Typical: Day 1 or Day 2 Confidence: low
Search hints
  • Check corners and side routes that the day shift does not require you to visit
  • Try interacting with anything that looks out of place - a crate, a shadow, a poster
  • Confirm the cat registration prompt when it appears
#12

Kitty 2

Location community

Internal: KITTY_2

Community consensus

The second hidden cat. Community reports place this one in a different scene from the first; each cat registers independently, so finding one does not reveal another. Players who replayed early scenes after unlocking later ones sometimes noticed new interaction points that were not present on a first pass.

Typical: Day 2 or Day 3 Confidence: low
Search hints
  • Revisit earlier day scenes after progressing the story
  • Check side areas that were skipped on a first pass
  • Interact with the second cat when found and confirm the registration
#13

Kitty 3

Location community

Internal: KITTY_3

Community consensus

The third hidden cat. Community reports place this one further into the story than the first two; several players note that scenes around the midpoint and the move to Radek's place opened new interactions that were not available earlier. Considered a moderate difficulty find because the search space widens once the story forks toward the finale.

Typical: Day 3 or Finale Confidence: low
Search hints
  • Progress the story past the Day 3 midpoint before hunting
  • Revisit earlier scenes with new context after meeting three
  • Interact with the third cat when found
#14

Kitty 4

Location community

Internal: KITTY_4

Community consensus

The fourth and rarest hidden cat. Community efforts are still ongoing to pin down a stable location; players who find it are encouraged to document the scene, the day, and the conditions on this board so the consensus can be refined. Considered the hardest cat achievement in the set.

Typical: Finale Confidence: low
Search hints
  • Explore every finale scene thoroughly - the cat may sit behind a non-critical interaction
  • Try interactions that look mechanically irrelevant to the bath fork
  • Document the scene and conditions if found, so the community can refine the consensus

Common questions

Tool scope
Where are the four hidden cats in No Means Nothing?

The four cats (KITTY_1 through KITTY_4) ship as enum values 11 through 14 in the in-game achievement list, but the game itself ships no marker, prompt, or quest entry that points at their locations. Every location on this board is community-sourced from player reports, not verified fact. File your own report when you find one to help refine the consensus.

Why are the cat locations marked as community-sourced and not verified?

The achievement enum entries are verifiable in the shipped achievement list, but the trigger logic that fires each cat registration is not exposed alongside them. The community is still narrowing down the locations from playtest reports. Marking the source explicitly keeps the board honest and matches the provenance standard used across the rest of the site.

Where are my filed reports stored?

In your browser under the localStorage key kitty_reports. The page has no backend. Clearing browser data, switching browsers, or using private mode wipes the reports, so export a JSON backup before you switch devices.

How do I share my cat findings with the community?

Export the BBCode format and paste it into a Steam community guide comment, or export Markdown for Discord and GitHub. The exports are grouped by cat and include day, scene, position description, screenshot URL, and notes for each report.

Can I edit a report after saving it?

Not directly. Delete the report and file a new one with the updated details. The export formats preserve the order you filed, so re-filing keeps everything in a clean sequence.

What is the difference between the seed consensus on each card and my filed reports?

The seed consensus is the current aggregated community understanding baked into the site. Your filed reports are your own playthrough notes that live in your browser. The two stay separate; future site updates fold exported reports back into the consensus manually.
